I don't really know why my life is so nutty that I can't seem to post..maybe it's finding out that the church in IL was seriously interested in us, and putting the house on the market and then in the same week deciding suddenly to travel to PA and then NY to see family and friends...yes maybe that is it :)
The short story: God has been blessing and providing for our family! Rick is now a candidate for Sr. pastor and things are looking very positive. We head back to IL on October 9th-11th...we will look at several homes while we are there. That is our current biggest prayer request! There have been no showings yet on our current home and we need to pray about what to do..we need God's clear direction. At this time, renting a home there (since it's a smaller town) doesn't look like a strong possibility and we would need to move asap since we do not have an income and need one soon! Pray it will be very clear to us!
The church has been super kind...we hear from someone there almost every other day. The church feels confident that the vote will be extremely positive again so they plan to vote while we are there on the 10th. It will be nice to have that confirmation! We will start packing as soon as we return from IL while we pray for God to show us what to do in terms of housing.
There have been many little things God has done to urge us to go on and take the next step. Now I just need to remember all that God taught me about His sovereignty and power in our adoptions and apply it to this new situation. It's amazing how hard it is for me to have faith now especially with our housing concerns..when I've seen God provide over and over again for us in so many ways. I am so thankful for the ways He's prepared us to be where we are today, for His amazing provisions this summer for us financially and for a deep down inside peace from Him about our circumstances. It's strange how I always wonder how will I "know" what to do in big decisions and yet God somehow shows us in small ways what path to take and when to move forward on something. It isn't the absence of worry or concern at that time..just a still small voice that encourages us on and reminds us He is with us.
